Darth Vader the chosen one who changed the history of Star Wars

A story that definitely is one of the saddest in Star Wars' universe.

Lets talk about drama...

If you like drama and you are fan of Star wars, the story of Anakin Skywalker is a story that you must know.

One of the most power full Jedi...
The chosen one...
The one who was going to bring balance to the Force...

These are some famous phrases that characterize that amazing character...

But the truth is that doesn't matter how hard we try to choose our destiny...
At the end of the story our destiny it's going to choose us...

Let's introduce you now to my favorite Star Wars Character.

Anakin Skywalker

Anakin Skywalker was one of the most powerful Jedi who ever lived. Raised as a slave on the desert planet Tatooine, he was discovered as a young boy and trained as a Jedi by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Fear and pride drove him to the dark side of the Force, and, as Darth Vader, he helped slaughter nearly all the Jedi in the galaxy. Eventually, with the help of his son, he returned to the Light and helped overthrow the evil Empire.
Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars Prequels

Anakin was born in 41BBY. His mother was Shmi Skywalker, but he had no father. He may have been conceived by midi-chlorians. Anakin and his mother were slaves to Gardulla the Hutt, a notorious crime lord, and were later sold to Watto, a Toydarian junk dealer. Surrounded by salvaged parts in Watto's shop, Anakin learned to construct machines such as the droid C-3PO and a pod racer.

Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Anakin first encountered the Jedi when Qui-Gon Jinn came to Watto's shop looking for parts. Always willing to help people in need, even complete strangers, Anakin offered to enter a dangerous pod race in order to help the visitors get the money they needed to fix Queen Amidala's ship.

Qui-Gon analyzed Anakin's blood and discovered that he had a midi-chlorian count of over 20,000 -- even higher than Master Yoda. Believing that Anakin could be the Chosen One prophesied to bring balance to the Force, he arranged to buy Anakin from Watto as part of his bet. After Anakin won the race, Qui-Gon brought him back to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. But despite Anakin's strong Force-sensitivity, the Council worried that he was too old to begin training as a Jedi and too susceptible to the draw of the dark side.

During the battle between Naboo and the Trade Federation, Anakin hid in a starfighter and accidentally activated the auto-pilot, bringing him straight to the battle. The same reflexes that made him a skilled pod-racer helped him destroy the Trade Federation's battle station. Meanwhile, Qui-Gon died in a duel with the Sith Lord Darth Maul. Although Obi-Wan didn't have as much faith in Anakin as his late master, he respected Qui-Gon's wishes and took Anakin as his apprentice.

By 22 BBY, just before the Clone Wars, Anakin had grown into a powerful Jedi. Although he respected Obi-Wan as a friend and master, Anakin was keenly aware that his Force abilities were far beyond Obi-Wan's -- or anyone else's in the Jedi Order. He believed that Obi-Wan was holding him back from reaching his true potential.

When Senator Padmé Amidala was attacked, Anakin was assigned to protect her. But when he had nightmares about his mother, he took Padmé from the safety of Naboo to find his mother on Tatooine. He discovered that she had been freed by a moisture farmer, Cliegg Lars, whom she later married. But she had been abducted by Tusken Raiders, violent Tatooine tribes, and there was little hope of her survival. When Anakin found his mother, she was still barely alive. He slaughtered the tribe who had captured her, taking his first step towards the dark side of the Force.

When Anakin and Padmé received a message from Obi-Wan on Geonosis, they went to investigate and got captured. Knowing that they might soon die, Padmé was finally able to let go of her fears and confess her love for Anakin. After they were rescued by the Jedi and the newly discovered clone army, Anakin and Padmé married. Because the Jedi Order forbade attachment, they were forced to keep their relationship secret.

During the ensuing Clone Wars, Anakin became a Jedi Knight and a General of the clone army. He also trained a Padawan, fourteen-year-old Ahsoka Tano. Although the other Jedi respected his skill, they also recognized how reckless and aggressive he could be. Anakin's secrets -- his relationship with Padmé and his brush with the Dark Side -- made him feel isolated from the other Jedi. He turned to Chancellor Palpatine for support, unaware that the leader of the Republic was really the Sith Lord Darth Sidious.

Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Towards the end of the Clone Wars, Palpatine was abducted by General Grievous and Count Dooku. After Obi-Wan was knocked unconscious, Anakin incapacitated Dooku and was prepared to arrest him. Palpatine insisted, however, that Dooku was too dangerous to take alive, and incited Anakin to kill him in cold blood.

Reunited with his wife on Coruscant, Anakin learned that Padmé was pregnant. He began to have dreams, as he did before his mother's death: visions of Padmé dying in childbirth. On top of this, Anakin faced further conflict with the Jedi when Palpatine requested that he be given a seat on the Jedi Council. The Jedi, suspecting treachery from Palpatine, refused to make Anakin a Master; this only cemented Anakin's belief that the other Jedi were jealous of his power and purposely holding him back.

When Anakin took his concerns to Palpatine, the Chancellor revealed that the Sith held the secrets to life and death. As a Sith, Anakin could reach his full potential in the Force and prevent Padmé from dying. Anakin reported the Chancellor to Mace Windu, and finally Darth Sidious' mask was revealed. When he saw Windu about to kill Palpatine, however, Anakin had a change of heart, killing Windu and becoming Palpatine's apprentice, Darth Vader.

While Palpatine issued Order 66, causing the Clone Troopers to destroy the Jedi, Vader slaughtered the younglings in the Jedi Temple. Obi-Wan attempted to kill Vader in a duel on the fiery planet Mustafar, but Vader survived. Missing limbs and severely burned, Vader was confined to a black suit containing bionic limbs and a respirator. The suit both kept him alive and lent him his distinctive, menacing appearance.

Darth Vader During the Dark Times

More than 100 Jedi survived Order 66, and Darth Vader made it his mission to destroy them all. Once he had completed his Jedi Purge, Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi were some of the few Jedi who remained. Acting as Palpatine's fist, Vader helped prepare the galaxy for the downfall of the Old Republic and the rise of Palpatine's Empire. Vader also took Galen Marek, the son of one of his Jedi victims, to train as a secret Sith apprentice, code named "Starkiller"; however, Vader's apprentice turned to the Light and betrayed him.
Darth Vader in the Star Wars Original Trilogy

Episode IV: A New Hope
During the Galactic Civil War, Emperor Palpatine entrusted Darth Vader with uncovering the hidden Rebel Base. In 0 BBY, Vader captured Princess Leia Organa, a Rebel leader. When she refused to give up the location of the Rebel base, the Empire had her home planet of Alderaan destroyed to demonstrate the Death Star's power.

They eventually discovered the Rebels' location, but -- thanks to Leia's work -- the Rebels had the secret plans to the Death Star and were able to attack at its weak point. Attacking the Rebels in a TIE fighter, Vader sensed that the Force was strong with Luke Skywalker, who fired the shot that destroyed the Death Star.

Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Vader was present when the Empire attacked the Rebels again, this time on the ice planet Hoth. The Rebels escaped, but Vader pursued Han Solo's ship, the Millennium Falcon, into an asteroid field. At this time, he learned from the Emperor that the pilot who destroyed the Death Star was Luke Skywalker, his son.

Hoping to turn Luke to the Dark Side, Vader devised a plan to capture his son. With the help of the bounty hunter Boba Fett, he tracked Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Chewbacca to the gas planet Bespin, where he used them as bait to attract Luke. The plan succeeded, and Luke -- a stronger fighter than Vader had counted on -- faced Vader in a duel. When Vader revealed that he was Luke's father and enticed him to join the dark side, however, Luke refused and escaped by falling through Cloud City's gas vents.

Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
Darth Vader faced Luke one last time on the Second Death Star above the Forest Moon of Endor. In the presence of the Emperor, Vader once again tried to lure Luke to the Dark Side; but Luke, believing that Vader still had good in him, refused. Sensing that Luke had a twin sister, Leia, Vader taunted him with the possibility that she might turn to the Dark Side.

Luke attacked his father in anger, but, after cutting off Vader's hand, realized his mistake. When Palpatine finally realized that Luke would not turn to the dark side, he tortured Luke with Force lightning. Unwilling to watch his son die, Vader had a change of heart, throwing Palpatine to his death down the Death Star's reactor shaft.

Sensing that he was about to die, Anakin asked Luke to remove his mask so that he could see his son with his true eyes. Finally able to let go of the Sith's fear of death, Anakin died and became a Force ghost. The prophecy had ultimately come true: although he had first destroyed the Jedi Order, Anakin eventually brought balance to the Force by destroying theSith.
Anakin Skywalker Behind the Scenes

Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader was portrayed by the most actors of any character in the Star Wars films: Jake Lloyd in Episode I, Hayden Christensen in Episode II and Episode III (as well as an retconned scene in the Special Edition of Episode VI), David Prowse (body) and James Earl Jones (voice) in the Original Trilogy, and Sebastian Shaw as the unmasked Anakin Skywalker in Episode VI. Voice actors in cartoons, radio adaptations, and other media include Matt Lanter (The Clone Wars), Mat Lucas (Clone Wars), and Scott Lawrence (in a number of video games).

Meet the Guardians of the Galaxy

This year it's gonna be a year full of surprises for the comic fans...Lots of movies coming out ( Robocop , 300: Rise of an Empire , Captain America, Spider-Man 2 , X-Men, Transformers and Sin City) and most of us can't wait to watch all of them...
Most of these movies are already known by everyone cause many of them are sequels or they have produced many times at the past.

All of them except one...

The Guardians of the Galaxy...

For most of the comic fans the Guardians of the Galaxy is a team that they know very well...
We spend hours and hours reading about their stories and adventures in our comic books and we are very familiar with them.

But the truth is that most of the people who they are not comic fans they don't really know who the are. And this make this movie the biggest risk in the whole Marvel history and as a fan this makes me very happy. It's amazing to see a company like marvel to take risks like these cause I believe all of us we really deserve it.

Let's now found out who they really are...

A group of heroes who opposed the Phalanx conquest of the Kree system (and many who had opposed Annihilus incursion into their universe), and banded together in an attempt to prevent any further catastrophes from ever occurring.

On the recommendation of ally Nova, the group establishes a base of operations at the space station Knowhere, which possesses a teleportation system with near-universal range. An intelligent, super-powered dog called Cosmo acts as Knowhere's chief of security and works closely with the new team.

After an initial clash with the revitalized Universal Church of Truth, the team's investigation of a mass of "Limbo ice" reveals a semi-amnesiac man who identifies himself as Vance Astrovik, Aka Major Victory of the Guardians of the Galaxy of Earth-691. Astro's declaration inspires the as-yet-unnamed team to adopt the "Guardians of the Galaxy" name for their own.

The team then battles the Universal Church of Truth once again, while Astro is attacked aboard Knowhere by an incarnation of his former teammate Starhawk Matters worsen when the alien shape-shifting Skrulls apparently infiltrate Knowhere, and the revelation that Star-Lord directed Mantis to telepathically coerce the heroes into joining the team.

The team

Starlord

Peter Quill, alias Starlord was born during an unusual astronomical phenomenon when many of the planets aligned. Seeing no resemblance, the man who believed he was Quill's father angrily accused his wife Meredith of infidelity and attempts to kill the infant, but died of a sudden heart attack. Quill was raised by his single mother, Meredith.

Quill was placed in an orphanage but escaped and eventually became a trainee NASA astronaut. An alien entity called the Master of the Sun eventually visited the space station that Quill and other astronauts were currently inhabiting, and offered the mantle of Star Lord (an interplanetary policeman) to a worthy candidate, Quill volunteered, but was rejected in favor of a colleague he once treated badly. One day Peter returned home, bruised from trying to stop a bully. As he was washing up for dinner, his mother saw a bright light and two aliens emerged. Vowing to end the 'Spartoi bloodline', they killed Meredith. After Quill saw the aliens and his dead mother, he panicked and ran. As the aliens pursued, he grabbed a shotgun and managed to kill them with it. He then found a mysterious device in a closet. Seeing a bright light he fled the house, just before the alien ship destroyed it.
StarLord

Quill was outraged, and NASA ordered his return to Earth and discharge for his conduct. Peter, however, stole a scoutship, and on returning to the space station took his colleague's place. Quill was then chosen to become Star-Lord, with the Master of the Sun first creating an illusion in which he was able to find and kill the aliens that murdered his mother to free him of his past. Equipped with a sentient vessel called "Ship", Quill commenced his role as Star-Lord.

It was later revealed that Peter Quill's father is Jason of Spartax, the second son of the galactic Emperor who acted as Star-Lord before him.

Star-Lord encountered the former Herald of Galactus the Fallen One and was almost killed defeating the entity (Star-Lord's vessel "Ship" was destroyed in the conflict). The pair were subsequently imprisoned in the intergalactic prison the Kyln.Star-Lord was freed by the hero Nova during the Annihilation and aided in the war against villain Annihilus. He later acted as military adviser to the Kree general Ronan the Accuser against the invading alien race the Phalanx. When the Kree homeworld of Hala was conquered by the Phalanx, he led a band of rebels against the invaders until the war was over.

Rocket Raccoon

Centuries ago, a group of alien humanoids settled the largest planet in the Keystone Quadrant star system. They built a complex to house and treat the insane, recording their medical observations in a psychiatric diary. When their funding was cut, they abandoned the project, but not before they created a staff of robots to provide for the humanoids. They then separated the quadrant from the rest of the galaxy with an impenetrable force field.

When a nearby star went nova, ensuing radiation gave sentience to the robots, who quickly chafed at the illogical of the humanoids, or "Loonies." Seeking to end their servitude, the robots used genetic engineering to give intelligence and awareness to the animals that had been left as companions for the patients. They charged the animals with the patients' care and protection, then relocated to the far side of the planet, which they proceeded to strip bare through industrial endeavors, one of which was construction of a vast, humanoid spacecraft called Ship. The half-industrial, half-verdant planet became known as "Halfworld."

The animals continued to care for the humans, and the robots provided alot of equipment, weapons, and parts for toys. The psychiatric diary left by the physicians (now known in legend as the "Shrinks") became an indecipherable icon called Gideon's Bible. Toys played an important part in Halfworld society as entertainment for the Loonies. Without toys, the Loonies lapsed into a deep melancholy, so the animals made certain nothing interrupted production. Two otters formed the first toy factory, and upon their death it was taken over by the mole Judson Jakes, who established his headquarters in the Spacewheel space station built by the tortoise Uncle Pyko. Pyko designed toys, weapons, an army of robots clowns, and the batlike Drakillers.

Groot

Groot posed as Divine Majesty King Groot the 23rd, Monarch of Planet X, custodian of the branch worlds, ruler of all the shades, flora colossus. Groot is a member of the Flora colossus, a society of sentient trees, discovered by the Kree.

In the Autumn of 1960, scientist Leslie Evans and girlfriend Alice witnessed a blinding object falling from the sky. When Evans went to investigate the next day, he not only found the object, but discovered it was alive. Evans looked on as the alien creature, Groot, grew larger by the minute as he absorbed wooden objects into his own body. There in the woods, Groot announced his presence to the nearby community. Claiming to be the Monarch of Planet X, Groot announced that he had come to Earth to take a small Terran town back to his homeworld for its scientists to study. While the humans resisted, no gunfire, or even conventional fire could penetrate Groot's hide. Seeing the futility of trying to fight Groot directly, Evans abandoned the townspeople and raced back to his laboratory, for which he was labeled a coward.

Over the next three days, Groot used his ability to control trees and plants to turn the forest into a make-shift army. His announced intention was to use Earth's native vegetation to create a net of roots to allow him to lift the town into space whole. When Groot entered the town, Evans snuck up behind him and unleashed the fruits of his frantic work: a specially bred colony of termites. The insects voraciously ate through Groot's hide, and into his core. Groot collapsed in a a state of shock, and was believed dead by the townsfolk.

Later, however, Groot was seen alive and captured in Collector's zoo beneath Canada. When the Mole Man attacked the Collector in his lair, the security in the Collector's zoo failed, and the monsters were released. The stampede of monsters eventually arrived in New York, and were engaged by the Thing and the Hulk. Joined by the Beast and Giant-Man, the four heroes defeated the horde of monsters, including Droom, Groot, Grottu,Grogg, Gargantus, Rommbu, Taboo, Tragg, and Vandoom's Monster. Afterwards, the Hulk hurled all the monsters through a portal and into the Negative Zone.

At some point, Groot returned to Earth, supposedly to Monster Isle.

Later, Groot was tracked down and engaged by a unit of the Howling Commandos of Area 13, a branch of S.H.I.E.L.D. dedicated to tackling supernatural threats through supernatural means. Groot had blended into the surrounding woodland, despite his size, but was ferreted out bySasquatch and the Abominable Snowman's sense of smell. The unit -- also including Gorilla Man and Warwolf -- disoriented Groot with high-pitch sonics and brought him down.

Teleported to Area 13, Gorilla Man informed Groot of his options: either join Area 13 as part of the the solution, or be imprisoned as part of the problem. When a horde of fantastic creatures under the control of Merlin poured into Area 13 through a magical portal, the larger creatures were released from their cells, causing a stampede which crushed many of the invaders. Arriving in Merlin's territory on the other side of the portal, Groot met up again with the Howling Commandos. Realizing that Area 13 would just catch up to him again if he escaped, and that the landscape had been so warped by magic that it was physically painful to him, Groot has offered to assist the commandos.

Gamora

Gamora was the sole survivor of the alien humanoid race called the Zen Whoberis, a peace-loving people whose population were wiped out by a zealous religious order seeking to establish a galaxy-wide empire. Agents of the Church, called Grand Inquisitors, herded the entire population of the planet in to a valley and exterminated them for their resistance. The mad Titan Thanos rescued Gamora and brought her through time to a period at least two decades prior to her people's deaths. Aboard his space station Sanctuary, Thanos raised Gamora and used advanced technology to endow her with enhanced humanoid abilities. He also subtly altered her perceptions so that she would not recognize the evil of her deeds.

Thanos planned to send Gamora to assassinate his enemy, Magus, the leader of the Universal Church of Truth, a warped version of Adam Warlock from an alternate future. She practised for this assignment by killing the Church'sGrand Inquisitors.Thanos decided to train her as a weapon to use against and kill the Magus. Thanos made sure Gamora was raised with discipline, though he did on occasion show her affection as a father would show his child: such as celebrating the religious holiday of Yule. Through rigorous training she would become a highly skilled master of various martial arts forms from throughout the universe. Even though Gamora was learning and becoming a master martial artist, she still had more to learn. While still a young girl, she went on a trip with Thanos. Though explicitly against Thanos orders and warning, out of curiosity she decided to venture planet side. In turn she fell into an ambush set up by a group of thugs. The attackers used their numbers advantage and were able to defeat her in spite of her great skill. She was severely injured in the fight and gang raped. Near death, her proverbial knight in shining armor arrived in the form of Thanos, who quickly dispatched the assailants. Thanos then recovered the apologetic and near dead Gamora. After returning to Sanctuary Thanos restored and augmented Gamora. This was achieved via bionic implants and replacement parts of Thanos' own design. These physical and power upgrades made her an equal to Adam Warlock's own physical abilities. She also received specialized training and abilities including resistance to reality distortion as well as an accelerated healing factor that rivals even Wolverines'. For her purpose was to kill Magus, Adam's evil godlike counter part.

Thanos hoped that the presence of a non-contemporary element such as Gamora inserted into the Magus's present would disrupt his opponent's plans and eliminate the divergence of events that created the Magus from this timeline. Gamora's presence was detected by the Magus, who prevented her from getting close enough to assassinate him. Gamora did, however, assist Adam Warlock in his final battle against Magus.

When Magus was defeated, Gamora returned to her master, Thanos, and soon learned of his plan to destroy the universe as a sacrifice to Death. Horrified, she tried to slay Thanos with a dagger, but Thanos slew her instead. Adam Warlock found Gamora with one last spark of life remaining in her body and used his Soul Gem to absorb her consciousness.

Drax the Destroyer

Real estate agent Arthur Douglas, his wife Yvette, and daughter Heather, were driving across the Mojave Desert from Las Vegas to Los Angeles when a spaceship carrying the mad Titan named Thanos passed overhead on a surveillance mission to Earth. Wishing to keep his existence a secret, Thanos destroyed the automobile in case its passengers had seen his ship, and then landed to make certain they were dead. Satisfied that they were, Thanos left. Unknown to the Titan, his father Mentor had been monitoring his activities on Earth to examine his son's latest handiwork. Mentor discovered that Heather Douglas was still alive, and took her back to Titan to be raised. She later returned to Earth as Moondragon.

Mentor determined that the threat of his son Thanos could no longer be ignored and wanted to create a being of sufficient power to defeat Thanos. Enlisting the aid of his father Chronos, who millennia before had become a discorporate wraith, Mentor had Chronos seize the astral form (living consciousness) of Arthur Douglas before it had completely fled from Douglas's body. Chronos and Mentor then fashioned a humanoid body from the Earth's soil, granted it superhuman powers, and cast Douglas' spirit inside it. Thus they created the being who would become known as Drax the Destroyer.

Sometime later, Drax was contacted by his daughter Moondragon and invited to join her in her journey through space in search of knowledge. Drax accepted. The two rode aboard Moondragon's personal starship Sensia, and came upon the planet Ba Banis, a world of humanoid aliens caught in a vast civil war. Moondragon decided to used her mental powers to quell the conflict and then decided to set herself up as the world's goddess. Drax recognized that her ambitions were ignoble and so sent their ship to Earth with a holographic distress message. The Avengers responded and discovered Moondragon's world of mentally enforced tranquility. Freed by the Avengers from his daughter's mental domination, Drax advanced toward her, seeking to end her menace. In order to stop him, Moondragon mentally forced Drax's life essence to vacate his artificial body. Later, after subduing Moondragon and returning to Earth, the Avengers placed Drax's body inside Sensia and sent it into space programmed to self destruct. Without Drax's spirit inside it, Drax's body was destroyed when the Sensia exploded.Mentor blocked all of Drax's memories of his old life, instilling in him monomaniacal hate for Thanos. For years, Drax served as Thanos' nemesis, thwarting certain of the Titanian's plans, but never crushing Thanos himself. Thanos hired legions of alien mercenaries just to keep Drax away from him. Finally, in Thanos' campaign to possess the Cosmic Cube, Drax, in the company of the Avengers, Captain Mar Vell, and Moondragon, saw Thanos destroyed. Suddenly lacking a reason for existence, Drax wandered space in grim contemplation. By the time he learned that Thanos had managed to rematerialize himself, Thanos had once again been killed, this time by being permanently turned to stone. Drax, purposeless again, used Captain Mar-Vell as a scapegoat upon whom to vent his frustrations.

Several years later, when Thanos was resurrected by Mistress Death, Chronos chose to re-animate the Destroyer as well to again combat his mad grandson, and granted him with even greater physical power. However, Titan's God did not take the means of Drax's death into account, and the Destroyer's mind retained the damage done by Moondragon. Despite this setback, following Thanos' defeat and the subsequent breakup of the Infinity Gauntlet, Drax was chosen by Adam Warlock to safeguard the Power Gem as part of the Infinity Watch. Eventually, due to internal strife, the Watch fragmented and went their separate ways. Afterwards, Drax returned to Titan with Moondragon, who would successfully petition Kronos to restore Drax's mind to its former acuity, at the cost of some physical power. Thus, Drax was restored to his original condition.

A short time later, Drax was accused of the murder of Elysius and several other individuals. Warlock, along with Gamora, Pip, and Genis, tracked Drax down and subdued him in time to find that the real culprit was the re-animated corpse of the original Captain Marvel. Using his soul-gem, Warlock traced the being controlling the corpse...a creature within the Negative Zone known as Syphon who was using the Nega-Bands as a conduit. Felled by a backlash of psychic energy, Warlock was unable to stop the transfer of the Nega-Bands to the unconscious Drax, who flew off into space. Warlock then gathered his allies and pursued Drax, finding that Syphon was using Drax and the bands to rip a portal into the Negative Zone, a portal which threatened the structure of our Universe. Summoning all of his strength, Warlock yanked Drax free and removed the Nega-Bands, causing the portal to shrink. But, before the portal could completely close, Syphon yanked Warlock into the negative zone, and in front of the audience of Blastarr andAnnihilus, Syphon took Warlocks gem, and used it to re-open the portal. Warlock recovered, and fought back, but without his soul-gem he had little chance of subduing both Blastarr and Annihilus before Syphon was successful. Fortunately, Drax arrived with Pip, Gamora, and Genis (who was once more possessor of the Nega-Bands) in tow. As his friends fought on, Warlock went on to damage Syphon's conqueror wheel, thus closing the portal once more. Syphon attempted to use the soul-gem to kill Warlock, but found his attack turned upon his own soul. He fought back long enough to flee his own body. Warlock again claimed the gem, and along with Drax and his other companions, returned to our Universe.

Angela

The woman known as Angela was an Angel living in Heaven in a distant cosmos who was bred into a warrior to battle the Hell's earthbound warriors known as Spawns created by the demon Malebolgia killing many over the centuries. Sith Empire...Evil or misunderstood???

From day one of Star Wars we realise that we have to do with 2 empires. The good one (Jedi) and the evil one (Sith).
After all of these year, movies and games some people changed their mind and they started looking deeper to find out about this ''evil'' empire.

Let's see how the whole story began...

Sith Empire

History:

The Sith civilization began in the year 100,000 BBY, where a race of red skinned beings evolved on the planet Korriban. They lived a barbaric, yet strangely harmonious, existence which was filled with constant warring between the various divided nations on their world. During their pre-industrial age in 30,000 BBY, the inhabitants of Korriban fought off an incursion from the Killiks. It was only the rise of King Adas did the Sith become unified under his iron rule and he was declared the Sith'ari; the ultimate being. It was he who first formed a Sith Empire in the year 28,000 BBY and his reign lasted for three centuries. This relative stability of this empire was first challenged in 27,700 BBY when the Sith were visited by the Rakata. These aliens of a distant empire attempted to lull the ancient Sith King into their confidence by providing him the knowledge to create Holocrons. However, their true motivation of conquest quickly became apparent. This led to King Adas bringing the full might of the Sith Empire to bear on the Rakata and he succeeded in driving them away from Korriban but at the cost of his life.

Using the remains of the enemy craft, the once primitive Sith were propelled into the space age and were armed with the power of the Dark side of the Force. Using these newly acquired traits from the Infinite Empire, the newly formed Sith Empire conquered other nearby worlds which became part of Sith Space with their capital being relocated from ancient Korriban to the neighboring world of Ziost. A number of pure blooded Sith also established a library-temple on the world of Krayiss Two in 14,000 BBY where they slumbered and their spirits continued to haunt the temple for the next 10,000 years. The reign of this empire was short lived, however, as it dissolved into civil war after the death of King Adas leaving his people regressing into a more primitive state. This civil war was initiated by Dathka Graush in 7000 BBY which left most of the cities of Korriban in ruin. With the death of Adas led to a group of Sith priests of the Kissai caste interpreting it as a sign to reject the Dark Side dominated beliefs of their people. Labeled as heretics for their actions, these Sith were later banished and settled the planet Tund where they formed the Sorcerers of Tund. The planet Arkania also fell under the dominion of the Sith and in 7000 BBY, they established a library known as Veeshas Tuwan on it.

Around the year 6900 BBY, exiled fallen Jedi—fleeing from the Battle of Corbos, which concluded the Hundred-Year Darkness—landed on Korriban, a desolate world inhabited by the relatively primitive but unusually Force-sensitive Sith people. Upon arriving, the Dark Jedi attempted to subjugate the Sith and take whatever knowledge they possessed. This led to the Sith attempting to protect their secrets but failed due to the superior training and technology of the invaders. Using their training in the Force, the fallen Jedi amazed the Sith, and elevated themselves to god-like status on Korriban, becoming the rulers of the Sith people. Over the next two thousand years, interbreeding occurred between the Fallen Jedi and the Sith by means of Sith alchemy which led to the term "Sith" being used to identify not only the original inhabitants of Korriban, but also their fallen Jedi masters. This intermingling between the two races went across hundreds of generations that was made between the Dark Jedi and the High Priests which led to the creation of hybridized offspring from this union who became the new ruling class of the Sith. Thus was the Sith Empire born, with nearby Ziost becoming the capital, while Korriban became a sacred mausoleum-world. One of the first Sith Lords of this new empire was Ajunta Pall.

Once the Exiles became Sith Lords, a group of overly ambitious of their number, led by Baron Dreypa, decided to retrace their steps back to the Republic by using a navicomputer from one of the ships that brought them to Sith Space. Despite the objections of Ajunta Pall, these Sith decided to embark on their quest back to the Republic and wage war against the Jedi. While the greater Sith were unaware of their fate, this expedition did succeed in their goal and fought against the Jedi Order. However, they were defeated and alerted the Jedi that the Exiles had claimed a world of their own. Despite this discovery, the Jedi were unable to determine where Sith Space was and thus were incapable of locating the growing Sith Empire.

The Golden Age of the Sith.

In time, the Sith formed an immensely rich and powerful empire that was built upon the use of sorcery and the dark side which fueled their technology. At its height, the Sith Empire ruled over at least 120 worlds.Long before the race reached their Golden Age, the Sith Empire participated in a skirmish known as the Battle of Kalsunor where Silooths were first used in order to subjugate the planet Kalsunor which had long resisted the conquests of the Sith. After the world was defeated, the army of Silooth creatures were left behind on that world where they remained for years.

Over the centuries that followed, the Dark Jedi Exiles were forgotten by the Galactic Republic even as all records of the Republic were lost to the Sith. This meant that the two civilizations thrived but in isolation leading to them being ignorant of the existence of one another. The Sith Empire was noted as being immensely rich and powerful; being built upon sorcery and possessing dark side fueled technology that was possibly adapted from the scattered ruins of the fallen Infinite Empire. To the galaxy outside their space, the Sith Empire was considered a fable used to by parents to tell their children before they went to sleep.

Though the Stygian Caldera that surrounded their territory confined them to Sith Space, it also meant that few travelers stumbled on their empire. However, on occasion, ships managed to brave through the Caldera and were captured by the Sith whereupon they became slaves to various ranking nobles in the empire. After generations, these slaves had slowly forgotten their origins and largely identified themselves as being Sith. It was through the entry of inhabitants from the Tapani sector that led to the influx of highly technical slaves that developed the Sith Empire's technological as well as medical base. Also, during this age, Sith Holocrons spoke of the legendary Muur Talisman which many desired to find and possess. While the Sith Empire had grown into a powerful force, they had now begun to a face a crisis as they had faced potential self annihilation. Having starved for centuries, the Sith sought to expand and conquer new lands to bring into their territories as well as enemies to subjugate.

This period in history saw the Golden Age of the Sith Empire and saw relative stability as well as power within it. At the time, the Dark Lord of the Sith was a particularly powerful and long lived individual called Marka Ragnos. Through his mastery of the dark side as well as his fierce intelligence, he had risen through the ranks in order to attain the position of Dark Lord of the Sith. One of the many contenders to the position was Simus who dueled against Ragnos and was beheaded as a result. Despite this being the case, Sith magic was used by Simus to keep himself alive within a container and he continued to serve the Sith Empire as an adviser.

During the rule of the new Dark Lord, Ragnos often placed his rivals against one another or manipulated them so they challenged him openly and in some cases had them assassinated. While many factions sought to expand beyond the confines of Sith Space, Ragnos did not allow this to be case as he well remembered that his ancestors were defeated by the Jedi Order. His memories of that time also meant that he knew how powerful the Jedi were and he was not confident that the Sith Empire was strong enough to challenge them at this point. After ruling for a century, his death caused a power vacuum within the leadership of the Empire which saw the conservative Ludo Kressh and the liberal Naga Sadow amass power in order to propel themselves onto the Sith throne.

At some point during the Golden Age, the Sith Lord Ieldis created a slaver organization known as the Crucible which was tasked with capturing refugees displaced from war in order for them to be used as a slave army that would fight for the Sith Empire.

Great Hyperspace War

In circa 5000 BBY, the isolation of the Sith was broken when two young hyperspace explorers called Gav and Jori Daragon stumbled upon Korriban by accident while they attempted to establish a hyperlane in an effort to expand their trade options. However, the feuding Sith had little interest in peaceful trade with the Republic and instead the pair were captured as spies whereupon they were imprisoned on Ziost whilst they awaited interrogation. By this point in their history, the Sith held little memory of the Republic who lived in distant regions of space compared to them. This saw Ludo Kressh and his conservative allies claim that the two travellers were the precursors of an invasion of their territory whilst his rival Naga Sadow held the view that the Republic offered new lands to conquer. In secret, Sadow also believed that focusing on conquest of the Republic would unite the strained factions of the Empire and distract the populace of the political problems they faced in their native territory. A tribunal of Sith rulers later sentenced the Daragon's to death but Sadow secretly had them rescued and sheltered at his own isolated fortress. However, he left behind evidence to suggest that the rescue attempt was done so by Republic agents and used this to galvanize the Sith Council by exploiting on their fears as well as their doubts. The Daragons proved to be the perfect scapegoats for Sadow who convinced comrades that an invasion was imminent and that they needed to conduct a pre-emptive attack against their enemy.

Whilst the Daragons were kept at his fortress world, Ludo Kressh began to uncover signs that Sadow was responsible for freeing the two alien intruders. Thus, he gathered forces loyal to him in order to assault Naga Sadow's domain in order to expose him as a traitor and schemer. This was partly also an attempt by Kressh to take the mantle of leadership of the Sith Empire. However, this all fell into Sadow's plan as he was well prepared for his rivals "surprise attack" and in the resultant chaos; he convinced Jori Daragon to abandon her brother in order to escape into Republic space. Intending to warn the Galactic Republic of the dangerous Sith Empire; she fled in Starbreaker 12 at which point Sadow unleashed his own hidden forces that annihilated Kressh's with Ludo's own flagship being destroyed thus seemingly killing him. In the aftermath, Naga Sadow declared himself as the new Dark Lord of the Sith and revealed that he had secretly placed a transmitter on Jori Daragon's vessel thus allowing the Empire to trace her journey into Republic territory. After consolidating his forces, Sadow gathered his armies of bloodthirsty Massassi warriors in preparation of the upcoming invasion. Despite the little intelligence he had of his enemy, the Sith Empire's vast invasion force moved through the Daragon Trail into Republic space. Alongside the Dark Lord was his Sith apprentice Gav Daragon whereupon they sent their armada to follow his sisters tracking beacon leading to the surprise Sith onslaught starting at the Koros Major system.
The Dark Lord was well aware that his forces would be insufficient in combating the Republic Navy but made use of the element of surprise to aid him and for a time, it worked. The Koros system fell to the Sith's might and the Empire's naval forces spread through the Koros Trunk Line to assault the shipyards at Foerost whereupon the Sith moved to assault Kaikielius, Metellos, Basilisk,Shawken and ultimately Coruscant itself. The Sith armies on Coruscant managed to march across the Legislative District and onto the steps of the Senate Hall itself where they were fought off by the defending Jedi forces. At Koros Major, the Sith proved relentless and unpredictable in their attacks which was necessary due to Sadow's limited knowledge of this region of space which led to the Republic not faring well in this conflict which became known as the Great Hyperspace War. Unknown to the Republic, Sadow had stationed his Sith Meditation Sphere around Primus Goluudwhere he employed Sith magic to create illusionary phantoms that made the Empire's enemies believe that the Sith had far greater numbers.

At some point during the conflict, the Sith Lord Naga Sadow dispatched some of his forces to locate Lignan crystals which were to be used in the creation of advanced lightsabers for use against the Republic and the Jedi. One of the ships dispatched was the Omen, however, it later crashed on the primitive world of Kesh where the crew at first attempted to return to space but later adapted to life on the planet amongst the native Keshiri. During the war, several Jedi were corrupted and joined the forces of the Sith Empire, one of which included the Kaleesh Saes Rrogon who commanded the Harbinger. In the closing stages of the conflict, the newly trained Sith Valik Kodank diverted resources for the construction of her own Sith Temple located in the Tascollan Nebula. She would later leave the Sith Empire with a sect consisting of her followers in order to continue their existence elsewhere. As the conflict continued, it was known that the Jedi used the planet Ossus as a staging ground for raids into Sith territory.

After learning of the Sith magic being used in the war, the Republic became emboldened to strike back against the Empire. This saw them being reinforced from the naval base at Anaxes which they used to push back the Sith armada to their beachhead at Koros Major. Their combined forces pushed towards Primus Goluud where they attacked the Empire's forces present in the region. By this point, Gav Daragon had turned against his Sith Master but Sadow had tricked him into being left behind on the Meditation Ship leading to Daragon dying at the hands of the Republic retaliating fleet. His act of betrayal against Gav Daragon also turned the young explorer against his master and he revealed to Empress Teta the hyperspace coordinates of the Sith Empire's territories. In an effort to destroy his enemies, Naga Sadow used his own Sith technology to cause the Primus Goluud star to erupt into a supernova whilst he made his escape back to Sith Space with what few forces he had left.

When Naga Sadow returned back to the Sith Empire, he was greeted by an unexpected figure - his rival Ludo Kressh, who had not died in their earlier battle but was warned by his spies of the assassination attempt. Showing no mercy, Kressh's forces mercilessly attacked Sadow's battered fleet before they could recover and declared them traitors. However, Naga Sadow's forces fought with wild frenzy as they had nothing to lose, leading to both sides being devastated as a result at the Second Battle of Korriban. Kressh himself was killed when one of Sadow's battleships rammed into it, at which point the fleets of the Republic arrived and attacked the weakened Sith forces. The Republic forces decimated the remaining Sith fleets and brought about the downfall of their Empire in the resultant crossfire. In a final desperate gamble, Sadow gathered what few followers he could and fled from the battlefield whilst being pursued by Republic ships. Utilizing Sith sorcery, he had his lone warship fly through the Denarii Nova and caused solar flares that destroyed his pursuers.

By this point, Supreme Chancellor Pultimo ordered Republic forces in an invasion of Sith Space which saw hundreds of ships piercing the Stygian Veil. The Sith Empire at the time was in complete turmoil after the death of Ludo Kressh and was unable to withstand the onslaught of these invaders that now arrived in their territory. With Kressh dead and Sadow missing, Shar Dakhan became appointed as the acting Dark Lord of the Sith. Sensing defeat and possible surrender being the only options available to them, he commanded his warriors to make suicidal attacks against the invading enemy fleets. This act led to heavy losses being sustained by the Republic and forced them into making a temporary retreat as a result. Ultimately, the Republic only won after many of the lower-caste Sith committed ritualistic suicide. Whilst the Sith by this point no longer posed a threat, the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic was still unsatisfied as to the outcome of the conflict. Thus, Jedi and Republic forces were sent to Korriban as well as other Sith planets in order to ensure that no remnants of the Sith Empire remained. This act forced a number of Sith to flee into space where they were led by a Sith who had arisen to take Naga Sadow's place as the new Dark Lord. Members of this exile fleet later settled on Dromund Kaas where they waited for centuries in order to get their revenge against the Republic. One of the last holdouts was that of Elcho Kressh who spent years developing a counterattack plan outside the Caldera where he made most of the few forces available to him. Utilizing a tactic used by Naga Sadow, he began recruiting groups that were hostile to the Republic which ranged from pirate bands to mercenary militias and other such species which allowed him to build an impressive force. However, on the eve of his planned invasion, Elcho suffered from a ruptured stomach after heavy drinking which killed him within hours thus ending any plans of revenge.

The Sith Empire was broken as a result though unknown to the Republic, Sadow had in fact escaped in the struggle. He later fled to Yavin 4 in his single Derriphan-class battleship which was buried on the moon while the Dark Lords Massassi created Temples for their master. One of the Sith Lords to die during the conflict was Lord Garu who was the holder of King Adas's holocron and perished on the world of Ashas Ree thus leaving the ancient relic behind where it remained undiscovered for centuries. The Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic worked to destroy any remaining strongholds of the Sith which saw the end of their once glorious empire which was now defeated. After their defeat, a group of Sith retreated to the planet Thule that was home to a stealth regiment where they worked alongside special forces in order to build up once more and set themselves up as an advance force for an eventual return of the empire. However, no one came and the forces on Thule remained in the shadows for generations where they waited for their moment at getting their revenge. Some Sith Lords disappeared where they haunted worlds such asVjun.

Following the supposed destruction of the Sith Empire, the Jedi worked to destroy whatever remained of the Sith's legacy which included talismans, temples and holocrons. This was an attempt by the Jedi to prevent the dark knowledge of the Sith from being used by other Dark Siders or by students who could be influenced by those teachings. Among the many locations destroyed, the ancient Sith library on Arkania known as Veeshas Tuwan was destroyed by a group ofJedi MastersJedi Shadows worked to destroy any Dark Side artifacts created by the Sith such as amulets and talismans. While the ranks of the Jedi Shadows destroyed most of these tainted artifacts, items such as holocrons were, however, kept in the custody of the Jedi Order though many others were left in the burial vaults of the Sith Lords.Any surviving manuscripts and books were later taken to the Galactic Museum at Republic City where they were stored in the Sith Hall for visitors to see. Many of these artifacts were later taken by the secret Jedi cabal known as the Jedi Covenant.
Despite their efforts, many great Sith weapons would be forgotten and lost for ages such as the dread Dark Reaper.

Though the Empire was destroyed, one of its legacies remained such as the Crucible which continued to operate in the shadows for centuries where it abducted countless people and turned them into ruthless warriors. One of the few known artifacts that were kept by the Jedi Order included the Holocron of Naga Sadow which was kept in order to provide insight into the origins of the ancient Sith. Ultimately, the campaigns of the Jedi to bury the teachings of the Sith was partly successful with much of the Sith Empire's history being masked in shadows over the centuries that followed.

Legacy:

"You thought that the corrupted remnants of the Republic, the machines spawned by technology that Revan led into battle were the Sith? You are wrong. The Sith is a belief. And its empire, the true Sith Empire, rules elsewhere. And Revan knew the true war is not against the Republic. It waits for us, beyond the Outer Rim. And he has gone to fight it, in his own way."―Kreia, to Meetra Surik[src]

With the Sith Empire defeated, its long reign came to an end as a result of the devastating conclusion of the Great Hyperspace War. Worlds such as Korriban became lasting monuments that provided traces of the ancient Sith Empire. The planet Dromund Kaas itself also vanished for a time until it was discovered by the Empire-in-Exile led by the Sith Emperor which had been rebuilding its forces within the Unknown Regions. This faction of the Sith along with other relics continued to influence and shape events in the galaxy for thousands of years. It was from that point onwards that the term Sith changed from being a name for the species to being a title given to those that practiced the Sith teachings. Among the many legacies of the ancient Sith were their various warbots that were deactivated after the defeat of the Empire. These few battle droids remained hidden with some emerging during various events such as the later Great Sith War and even during the Jedi Civil War. It was believed that very few Sith starships survived the devastating conclusion of the Great Hyperspace War though knowledge of their construction was believed to still reside within scrolls and holocrons. However, these vessels were inferior compared to designs that would be developed in the following years.
Other legacies of the ancient Sith included the manipulations of long dead Sith Lords such as Marka Ragnos with the Disciples of Ragnos forming during the era of the Galactic Civil War. This group sought to bring about the return of their master until they were defeated by Jaden Korr. Decades after its creation, the Galactic Empire was destroyed, and it seemed that the legacy of the Sith Empire was gone with it. But in 9 ABY, the dark history of the planet Dromund Kaas came once more and in an effort to protect his fledgling New Jedi Order, Luke Skywalker worked with New Republic Intelligence to bury the knowledge of the dark world Dromund Kaas of the Sith Empire in order to ensure that its corruption would not bring further threats to the galaxy. However, unknown to many, a forgotten remnant of the Sith Empire had been left abandoned on the planet Kesh, which formed the Lost Tribe of Sith who sought to bring about the great splendours of their ancestors to the galaxy.

Even further to the future, the dark shadow of the Sith still fell across the galaxy when the teachings of XoXaan, now a long-dead Sith spirit, were used by the fallen Jedi that became known asDarth Krayt, who used them to found the One Sith. He later succeeded in taking control of the Fel Empire and made himself the Emperor thus creating a new Sith Empire.

Among the various eras, numerous attempts had been made to create a new Sith Empire.
